DannysBoy87
Hey All, Specs below: MacBook Pro, mid-2012 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7 OS X 10.9.5 Logic Pro X 10.2.1 M-Audio Mobile Pre USB I'm using a Simmons SD9K electronic kit - previously, I was using Logic 9 on my iMac, and the Simmons would plug-and-play via USB (but as a MIDI controller). Since I've bought the the MacBook and upgraded to Logic Pro X, the following happens: 1) Start up logic, create the Software instrument track as usual 2) I can either use EZdrummer as the instrument, or I can use the standard "software instrument" settings, it doesn't affect the following events 3) I select the instrument, select Record on the track, and the drumset works great. No lag, quick response, sounds good. 4) Then, after a few seconds, it just "cuts out". Logic stays running, doesn't freeze, doesn't have any OTHER hiccup other than the drum controls stopping. 5) I can only get it to come back by restarted logic, the drumset, and sometimes the laptop. I've double and triple checked all the Logic settings, the MIDI settings for the Mac (the drum kit is enabled in there), etc. I'm at my wits end, as this makes my rig frustratingly useless. I tried it with both EZdrummer installed and uninstalled, but that made no difference (Logic recognizes and allows the drumset to be controller regardless of EZ being the middleman). I also tested the MobilePre before and after, and the system sounds/music still work well. I'd think it's the USB ports, or the kit itself, if not for the whole "it works for a few seconds then stops" feature. Any help would be appreciated, and please let me know if any further details are necessary. Thanks in advance! J
JakobP
Is the problem still there if you disconnect your mobile pre and use the built-in audio instead ?
DannysBoy87
Yep, happens with or without the M-Audio. I can get the set to start working again by going Preferences>MIDI>Reset All Drivers. So I guess it's something with the Drivers?
DannysBoy87
Anybody have any issues with their Midi drivers abruptly cutting out?
