Onyx509
I am trying to set up a HiHat arpeggiator sequence. As you can see, I have the downbeat steps at a much higher velocity than the other ones which should be quieter in order to achieve the right sound. What is happening is that the low velocity steps just don't get quiet enough, making it sound really fake. Is there a way to get a better spread in the volume, to make a bigger difference between the high volume notes and the low volume notes?
Eric Cardenas
Hard to tell from your picture but are you modulating the amplitude by velocity?
Onyx509
No. This isn't in reference to the modulation sequencer, but the regular arpeggiator. The one at the bottom.
Eric Cardenas
That's not what I'm saying. Go to the master section and click on the Volume knob. Look at the Modulation section and see if velocity is set up and that the depth is enough to make a difference.
Onyx509
That was it! I just turned up the depth and I could hear a difference. Thanks Eric!
