LogicIsDoomed
I have a 2012 Mac Mini i5, see specs in my signature. When running 24 multiracks OR even when I play a song using just 1 software instrument track (piano), I'm constantly getting CPU overloads. Logic plays 3 or 4 bars then chokes and stops playback!!!! Troubleshooting I've tried: 1) I/O BufferSize: tried all sizes 2) Process Buffer Range: tried all sizes 3) Freezing tracks: when multitracking, tried freezing 80% of all tracks How can I get Logic to stop choking and stop playback??? skijumptoes
You need to find out what's choking it i guess? What are your suspicions? Do you have any other utilities running on your system whilst using Logic? Have you watched 'Activity Monitor' in OSX whilst using Logic to see which processes are working your CPU? (You can sort them by usage) Have you also tried moving your song start point to bar 5 to allow Logic some room when first playing the track? I'll look into this. 3) I've tried beginning playback from various measures all over the song, and still Logic causes CPU to overload & stop playback.
