Ken Nielsen
I see on page 352 (David's version 9 book) that I can tap with he marquee tool in the arrange area to set a point where the playhead will return and begin playing from that point when the spacebar is tapped. That is a help but the one thing I have not been able to find is how to return the playhead to the beginning of the tracks, is there a way? In Windows it would have been the Home key but we are on Mac's here and have not found a solution yet other than grabbing the playhead and dragging it back to the beginning of the song. There must be a better way. Also, How I set the 'end of song' marker so the playhead does not go on for infinity after the tracks have been played. This must seem so rudimentary but with all of the information I've been going through, these simpler things must be well hidden as something we should have learned elsewhere. I do need help with these basics. TIA, Ken
David Nahmani
how to return the playhead to the beginning of the tracks, is there a way? Press Return or click the "Go to Beginning" button in your control bar: Also, How I set the 'end of song' marker so the playhead does not go on for infinity after the tracks have been played. Either scrolll all the way to the right and drag the project end marker (left pointing arrow in the ruler) where you need it, or click the icons to the left in the LCD display and choose "Custom", then double-click the project end marker location (below the tempo value) and enter the new desired value. Ken Nielsen
Ah, so clear now and so evident after seeing what is needed. I'm too used to working in Adobe Premiere Pro making movies, Audio is another world. I am adding these notes so I won't need to ask this question again. Thank You David, so very kind of you to take the time to help. Appreciation!:- ) I see now, the project end marker is hiding off to the right if you do not have your view zoomed all the way out, that's why I had no idea where it was. Critical things to know, I can start recording now.
