kevinlamb
I have inserted Alchemy on a track. I am going through the different arpeggiations. HOWEVER, when I select a previous guitar/bass track to turn down t's volume and then come back to my Alchemy track my ability to select Alchemy patches/instruments goes away. When I revisit the track I usually just get to select from the default choices (from Bass to Legacy). Even if I click on the Instrument icon in the Alchemy track nothing happens - I do not get my Alchemy choices returned to me. I can't find any way to navigate back to my Alchemy selection options. I have had to close my session without saving it and then start all over. Can't work that way!
Atlas007
In your signature you indicate that you use LPX v.10.1.2, is this a typo? If not try updating to LPX current version (v.10.2.1)... BTW, to pull down a volume fader, you don't need to select the other track. Anyhow, after selecting a preset in Alchemy, it should stick, unless you remove the Alchemy plugin from the channelstrip. Does that happen in other projects also? If so, have you tried to reset your prefs? Ifnot, that could be a sign of a corrupted project file. Even if I click on the Instrument icon in the Alchemy track nothing happens First a little bit of background here. The Library is contextual and displays Patches, Channel Strips, or Plug-In Settings (and in the case of EXS24 and Alchemy also Sampler Instrument/Preset) depending on the selection. What's happening in your case is that the Library is jumping between Alchemy's preset view to the generic Patch view. Look at the Channel Strip in the Inspector and you will see a small blue triangle pointing at the Setting button. The Setting button is also highlighted. To revert to Alchemy's preset view your can do one of these two things: Shift-click the Instrument slot. This works both in the mixer and the Inspector. Click to the left of the Instrument slot in the Inspector Hope that helps!
