LukeDunn
you need to put them in Library/audio/plugins/components. Logic doesn't use VST's, just AU. hope this helps Luke
mikeman
oh right, i thought i read somewhere that it dus, ah well. erm do i put the whole file that ive downloaded in there and it shud show up in au instruments?
LukeDunn
just put the .component file in there, and it should show up. if you're on an intel mac you need a UB version of the plugin. If it doesn't show up after it's in the folder, that might be why. Luke
mikeman
oh yeh thats probably the reason why is there usually a UB version? or do i have to do somethin orr do i just not get to use that plugin
LukeDunn
yeah, if you put the .component file in there and it didn't show up, it's probably not a UB version. I would check the site where you downloaded it from and look for a UB version. If they don't make one you're kinda SOL. Luke
