vellocet
I m giving logic a try, since i quite like it (I m a ableton guy for some years), and I have bumped into a little annoyance that keeps haunting me. I have 2 audio tracks. 1 is playing a normal mp3 backing track. 2 is where i have the guitar plugged for recording or playing (hearing it)...Input one, mono, from my focusrite. I is on (monitoring) and even R is on (armed). So I strum the guitar, and all is fine, as it should. Now comes what I dont manage to have nailed yet.... I press play, so that i play along with the track on the other track, and i cant hear the guitar anymore. I stop, i hear the guitar. Other times, if i select the non guitar track, i dont hear the guitar also. WHen playing along wiht track, if record is ON, yes, i can hear the track. But i should be able to listen to it wether REC is ON or NOT. This happens frequently. I m missing some setting or something? I m sure this behaviour should not be some bug, but rather maybe i need to set. I dont master at all Logic yet. Hope anyone can help me on such basic thing. vellocet
Cmon guys, no one on such a simple thing? I can hear what I play on the guitar (R is on, I is ON), but when i press play on the transport bar to play along another track, i cant hear the guitar anymore, becomes muted the sound. This is not supposed to happen at all, unless there is some default setting causing this behaviour. Weird. Thanks.

Try this: Choose Preferences > Audio > General and make sure that Input monitoring for focused track and record enabled tracks is unchecked.
