Oyvine
I began playing the guitar for over a year ago but had to quit after a short period due to getting tendonitis in both wrists. I've tried everything to make it go away, but nothing seems to make it any better, and I suspect I'll have to deal with it for a long time. I really really want to make songs and it kills me every day that I'm not able to do that due to the situation I'm locked into. However, I've managed to make a set up that allows me to type and use a mouse with my feet. In other words I'm able to use a computer. That lead me into the idea that I may be able to make songs on the computer, without having to touch any instruments at all. So I wonder if it is possible to make songs on logic pro without using any physical instruments (including midi keyboards) in the process?
David Nahmani
So I wonder if it is possible to make songs on logic pro without using any physical instruments (including midi keyboards) in the process? Yes, you can use built-in software instruments to generate the sounds, and there are all sorts of ways to input notes, for example using the mouse, and/or keyboard shortcuts, clicking on the grid, or clicking on a keyboard in real time...etc. You should be able to develop a workflow that suits your needs. Good luck!

angelonyc
I'm 67 and had two strokes.. I can still play. Some days my hands do what I want, other days they don't.. But using Logic and other music software, I create far greater music, (well at least to me), then I could do in my 30's at my physical peak.. Now arranging, really fascinate me.. I sometimes create parts with a mouse in the score editor, or piano roll editor.. It music be traumatic, but the human spirit has a way of conquering a lot of obstacles.. Forge forward.. I have a friend who was a great musician, played in some name bands, and then went into computer programming.. He still did music at the same time while he worked as a senior programmer at Apple.. Recently he got 'tinnitus' so bad, that he can't play music.. because of the constant ringing.. Not sure how he is going to work thru this yet.. Good luck.. you'll be in my thoughts.. Let us know how your doing.. Playing music is such a blessing for many people.
Oyvine
Sorry about your friend. That must be a horrible situation to be in. That said, I really appreciate your kind words, and I'll for sure forge forward. In some weird way the obstacles I'm dealing with have made my motivation to make music grow much stronger, and I can't wait to start dabble into Logic Pro.
