Blessedchordz
Hello, Im currently working on tweaking my new set up at home with LOGIC PRO X 10.2.1. I keep having high CPU usage after only a small amount of work. I use a M Audio 49key rig to play my midi instruments through a Focusrite 2i2 interface. The software I use for the midi instruments are mainly Omnisphere 2, Trillian, and Arturia's Vintage package. After using only a few instruments on one instance of Omnisphere 2 i notice that the CPU usage is nearly maxed out, which then causes the workflow to have pops, and stops in the music. Ive adjusted the audio prefs several ways but can't seem to get it smoothed out. My current setting are: I/O Buffer: 256 Buffer Range: Large Low Latency: ON I Don't know what else to do but id really like to get rid of the hiccups in my workflow! HELP PLEASE....THANKS!!! Daggilarr
Freezing tracks can help, as can bouncing in place. This way you are listening to an audio file rather a midi one. It is a good idea to shut down any other processes that your machine may be running, ie only have Logic running. Some even advise shutting down the WiFi. The most recent update 10.2.2 claims to have improved CPU usage. FYI. in your signature you claim 1TB ram, do you mean HDD/SSD
CCTMusic
Hi After using only a few instruments on one instance of Omnisphere 2 i notice that the CPU usage is nearly maxed out, which then causes the workflow to have pops, and stops in the music. A few things might help: Try using several instances of Omnisphere rather than loading up one multi-timbrally. Try turning off any high CPU FX within Omnisphere ( replace using Logic plugs as necessary) Check Logic Pro X>Preferences>Audio>Devices: The new Multithreading can be set to Playback and Live tracks or Playback tracks only. Try both. Change the number of processing threads to something other than Automatic CCT
