stormy
I know this is kind of a silly question, but maybe someone can chime in before I can head to the studio and run some tests. I have a mid 2009 MacBook Pro, 8 GB RAM, SSD drive. So far I have never recorded more than probably 6 simultaneous tracks, and I have an upcoming project where I'll need to record the full 16 tracks that my Roland Studio Capture can output. Will the computer be able to handle it? (I suppose the answer is yes) AND - if I simply test it by enabling 16 tracks and recording blank audio, is the test valid? The SSD is the fastest I could buy last year, and I think that would be the main bottleneck. Any other bottlenecks to watch out for? Buffer maybe? Eric Cardenas
That shouldn't be any problem. Use a moderate buffer size just in case. Make sure you have plenty of free space on the SSD.
creationcollective
I just did it over the weekend. No issues.
