Delete help

Hello to all. I am sure I am overlooking the easy. I have been working on a song and decided to go a different direction with it. Originally, I had a 15 bar, or so, drum intro and need to get rid of it. I am able to delete the track data, but where I want the song to start is still 15 bars away. What am I doing wrong?

Select all your regions (Apple + A) and drag to where you want your song to start.

The above will work.

 

As an alternative, look into Arrange / Region / Cut/Insert Time. With the proper selections, this can lop off the first fourteen bars, move everything to the left, and start your song at what was previously bar 15 (and is now bar 1).

 

The benefit of this method is that any time signature and tempo changes previously in the first fourteen bars will be removed.
