MikeBristol
Hi gang, So, the computer crashed whilst I was editing a comp and now somehow there are parts of the comp which are displaying sections of audio which are from a different part of the timeline and when I try and click on these areas nothing happens... Basically the comp is really scrambled... I have just done a LOAD of recordings ( about 30 takes with 3 microphones grouped together) and this has set me back 2 days work! Does anyone know of a way that I can revert the comp back to the way it was before I started editing? I stupidly didn't save an earlier version of the project... Please someone help me! Many thanks! pepe44
Not even on a save has backup ? I try to do a "save as" before important edits, keeps different session files on different stages.
Joe Lonsdale
Sounds like a corrupted Logic project. Luckily, all audio recorded in Logic is time-stamped so it can return to it's original recording position, which is really useful if things like this happen! Save as... a new version of the project, to give you a safety net, then drag the audio recordings from your bin (hopefully they are labelled LeadVocal#01 etc) onto the arrange page and right click on each piece of audio and select 'move to original recording position' which is tucked away somewhere. Then highlight all the pieces and right click 'create new take folder' - hopefully you are back to where you started and may be able to visually copy the comp that is corrupted, however, starting again shouldn't be too awful a job second time around...
