Christopher11
I often set up leads and similar keyboard setups with VSTs for performance, fairly elaborate once I finish with plug ins, etc. I save them as Channel Strips. The instrument is customized quite a lot. I play 2 or 3 of these together often, all record enabled, for example as a lead sound. Is there a way I can save all three of these together, and load them all up together in another project? Thanks so much for any reply.
Eric Cardenas
Create a summing track stack and save it as a patch.
Christopher11
Hey Eric. Thank you. I did this; I studied up on and created Stack Strack, choose Summing for the type. However, I'm not clear on how to reload that as a Patch in another project. What I did was, I went to the Summing Stack channel (it has a bus assignment), went to the top of the hierarchy in the channel strip and selected Save Channel Strip Setting As. Otherwise it's just a stack in one project; I want to reload it into any other I choose. So, when I try to reload that into an unrelated project / song, it just loads the bus track with any saved plugins. The various tracks that make up the lead, or keyboard sound or whatever didn't load with it. Do I need to save it differently, so it loads as a Patch? Please advise. Thank you again sincerely. Eric Cardenas
Hi Christopher. The only location to save patches is from the Library, don't use the channel strip button. Select the Track Stack and press the save button at the bottom right of the Library. You can then load your patch on to any Instrument track by using the User Patches subfolder in the Library.
