The Beatsmith
Hi, I'm exporting bunch of projects to audio, so that i can take my projects to a large studio to record drums. They use Pro Tools of course, so I'm exporting all tracks, and then also creating a midi file so that the engineer can import the tempo map information from the midi file. However once creating the Midi file and trying it out in a new 'test project' to make sure everything works OK, I import the tempo information from the midi file and the chorus tempo is 207.998 instead of 208. Obviously this is very close, but does anyone know why this is occurring? If I import the audio first and take the tempo information from that (as the files were made in Logic, I don't believe this will work for Pro Tools 12), the chorus tempo is correct @208bpm. Both methods have the verse tempo of 206bpm correct. I've used this feature before without issues. Cheers, Ed
Atlas007
Wild guess: latency compensation?
The Beatsmith
Thanks, but it's set to all! Here's an example of the problem, attached. On the left, the correct tempo list from the actual project. On the right, the tempo in a new project, generated when importing the midi that i exported. A couple of projects have been ok, but generally they have had this problem. I'm wondering if it's a 96KHz bug. (I'll convert the project to 44.1 and test it).
