EXSP24 Sound Sample Format???

Is the EXSP24 with Logic 5.5 compatible with current EXS formats for sample libraries or are the current ones only compatible with Mac's?

I spoke to Big Fish Audio and they don't know. Nice.

If not, where can you get samples that work with the EXSP24/Logic 5.5 PC? I am looking for a complete orchestra (Garritan does not support 5.5 PC), world percussion, and sounds of nature samples.

Thanks for any help.

To the best of my knowledge nothing has changed in the .exs sampler instrument format since version 5.

I recommend Kirk Hunter's Emerald for a good sounding and complete yet inexpensive EXS24 compatible orchestral library.

Hi

I found the best way of finding real samples is to put sf2 files into your sampler instuments folder. These are EXS24 compatible. Goto www.sf2midi.com and search for 060.9mg Jurgen GM GS V2.0 Bank which has great samples. Also search violins 0.0.2, RolandOrchestralRythm, winds, papelmedia samples and 5 trumpets, and you've got a full orchestra! Downloading is slow, but worth it. Ethnic percussion and Nature sounds can be found on the same site, but I've only used tabla and weather effects sf2 files.

Good Luck.
