owenparker
When I try and play anything now using MOTU 828 MK 2 all i get is horrible jerky high pitch digital squeeks. I earlier unplugged it and tried installing MOTU driver on my MAcbook pro as well, and same happened. it was working fine until I unplugged it. I have turned off and on a few times but something has clearly gone awry. When I revert back to built in audio everything works fine. ACan anyone please help?got deadline of tomorrow morning to meet..

owenparker
Thanks David- Just tried that, and problem still there. I get clean signal thru Cuemix console( testing mic), and crystal clear thru Itunes, testing with headphones from 828 but soon as I choose it to be audio device in Logic the audio goes off instantly, and the high pitching wailing re appears- and no audio. David Nahmani
Try opening the MOTU settings (sorry not sure what it's called?) and switch the clock to ADAT, then back to internal?
owenparker
No joy again sadly. I play a previous song and all I get is the high pitch sound and the error whilst trying to synchronise audio and midi message. Thanks for your help David.. David Nahmani
OK switch to built-in. Does the song play fine? Yes: the problem is your MOTU driver, or hardware. Call MOTU. No: huh... let me know, but my guess is it's going to be "yes".
owenparker
Sorted now David-thanks for all your help. Motu got back to me super quick with this: Have you tried resetting your 828Mkii's ADAT ports? You can reset the 828Mkii's ADAT ports by going to Applications/ Motu Audio Setup, setting the Optical input and output to None then ADAT and then back to None that seemed to work Thanks again. the sinner
MOTU firewire interfaces are often overloaded by more then 2 firewire harddrives. Try disconnecting any other Firewire devices especially 800 speed.
