I'm getting this message in Console:

25/08/2016 12:07:43,367 Logic Pro X[6729]: 12:07:43.367 WARNING:  140: This application, or a library it uses, is using the deprecated Carbon Component Manager for hosting Audio Units. Support for this will be removed in a future release. Also, this makes the host incompatible with version 3 audio units. Please transition to the API's in AudioComponent.h.

Can anyone explain what this means and what to do (if anything)?

This is intended as information for the developer.

It's probably triggered by an AU plug-in created using the JUCE framework.

Click this link to your signature and add your system information:

• Logic version and sub-version (e.g. Logic Pro X 10.2.4)

• OS X version and sub-version (e.g. OS X El Capitan 10.11.6)

• Computer (e.g. MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, iMac)

• Processor (e.g. 2.2 GHz Intel i7)

• Memory (e.g. 8GB)

• Audio interface manufacturer and model (e.g. RME Babyface Pro)

(most of that information can be found by choosing Logic Pro X > About Logic Pro X, and  > About This Mac)

Sorry to persist....

I thought this was an error returned by Logic Pro itself:

This application, or a library it uses, is using the deprecated Carbon Component Manager for hosting Audio Units.

I don't see that the error relates to a plugin.

A library is not necesserly related to a plugin. Could be a library call to an old obsolete legacy function. Note that it's a simple warning, not an error.

Do you have any problem with Logic?

Not generally. I've been having some problems with Vienna Ensemble Pro 6. I'll do some tests to see if VE Pro 6 causes this message.
