You can create a channel strip with the gain plug-in inserted than save it as you MusicMann patch.

Control - click the saved patch in the library and choose Define as default.

Open a new track dialog (Option - Command - N) then choose the correct kind of track and use the Load Default Patch check box if audio or Default Patch in the Instrument dropdown menu if Software Instrument.

Hello i like to use the gain plug in to turn down my plug ins it help with my levels in mixing

IMO systematically inserting a Gain plug-in at the top of your channel strips is a band-aid solution for a bad gain staging workflow. If you systematically have to reduce the gain at the top of your channel strip, it means you're either:

  1. Recording audio too hot.
  2. Setting the volume of your software instrument too hot.


It's better to develop good habits of setting reasonable soft synth volumes and audio recording levels and not have anything to fix down the line.
