Green Apple Loop creation

Go to solution Solved by David Nahmani,

Hi, I've got a MIDI drum region with several parts (kick, snare, hat etc) that I want to create a green Apple Loop from. Having scoured the help forum, I've tried doing this in two ways:

1.  Dragging the region into the Loop Browser

2.  Control-clicking the region and selecting 'Add To Loop Library'

In both cases, the loop created is blue (audio) not green (MIDI).  How do I create a green rather than a blue loop please?

I'm using a customised kit built up from the Producer Kits

Ah, that's the issue right there: Producer kits use a summing stack and the main track is an Aux... you can open the track stack in the Tracks area (click the disclosure triangle in front of the track icon) and drag your MIDI region to the Overheads track, then drag it to the loop browser. This will give you a green MIDI loop although it will recreate only one channel strip with the Drum Kit instrument.
