Instruments Load Slow

i have logic pro 7 academic edition and its running on a 2.3ghz macbook pro with 2gb of RAM and when i try to open garageband or esx24 instruments it takes long.....when i 1st installed it instuments would load fast but now they take minutes to load.....i tryed changing the settins a little any advice

a simple restart will go a long way with problems like yours. also, if your hard drive is almost maxed out, it will tend to be slow.

i know its not a restart problem.....and im sure even if my hardrive is almost maxed out it wil not slow it down this much.....i dont know i think its cause you cant set it to search one loaction on hardrive, it searches the whole drive
