FCPX's new flat look - Logic to follow?

So Apple revealed and released FCPX 10.3 today, and this has a new, flat interface.

Given that Logic uses the same, dark Pro interface as FCPX for much of it's GUI, I wonder if Logic will also move in the same direction and go to a flatter design in future versions?

I do like the "old" FCPX interface, and haven't as yet used the new version so I have no opinions yet, but will this be a good thing for Logic?

It's somewhat disappointing that Apple released new Macbook Pro's, but there was no mention of a new Mac Pro, which is way overdue for an update. Also sad that Final Cut gets updated (as well as Garageband) but not Logic Pro. Hopefully there'll be some good news before 2017....

If GB has been updated, it's likely LPX will be updated to follow. The timings don't magically synchronise - GB as a more consumer app probably needed to support the touch bar, and FCPX they wanted to demo at the event, so that was made a priority to release - Logic wasn't demoed, and is a pro app, so it won't matter too much if it doesn't support the touch bar the day the new MBP goes into stores (although that's still a few weeks away, we could still get an LPX update to support that before then).

Also, from the video posted, it looks like we might get a more intuitive version of clip gain?

That's just how it's implemented in FCPX, it has nothing to do with how things are implemented in Logic.

But the interface *may* be a more pervasive and consistent design-language decision by Apple, in which case, it would to suggest that Logic would go the same way... (which will no doubt delight the Logic developers, who haven't yet finished the transition to the old-style FCPX look (eg, the old-style plugins like the ES synths, Ultrabeat etc) and might now have to change a lot of the graphics that *were* "done"...
