wip
i was watching Jacksons 'new features in 7.3' Pro-Tools show-off at digidesigns webpage the other day and they introduced this handy 'alternate' cycle-playback tag on the transport bar, meaning you could set the loop-markers but make Pro-Tools start playback from another start-point. Well, you can do this in Logic too, simply by double-clicking on the transport-bar from where you want the SPL to start, even though cycle is activated!! David Nahmani
... OR by using the marquee to indicate the position where you want the SPL to start! ... OR by placing the SPL wherever, and pressing pause, then play when ready to start playback!
wip
i actually learned that marquee-tool trick from Phil Jackson at his Logic 6.0 demo at Sonicstate.com wonder why the guy dumped Logic... was it because Apple bought it? it seems to me that it's got alot to do with stuff like that. his kind of job was already taken by another guy, like say, Wilkee at Apple, so Jackson got the job at Digidesign... just a guess. k
David Nahmani
wonder why the guy dumped Logic... was it because Apple bought it? I've heard quite a few different rumors, but it's certainly not specifically because Apple bought it. He has worked for Apple for a while before... parting ways.
