srnm
I'm trying to quantize a number of audio regions in Logic Pro X. In Logic 9 I could quantize my regions just by the beginning of the region, which is what i want to do. In Logic Pro X this feature is gone and has been replaced with flex time, which attempts to detect my transients and stretch my audio. I guess this is normally not a problem, but in this instance it is imperative that I preserve every single nuance of the timbral quality, which means no stretching whatsoever. Is there a way to accomplish what I'm trying to do?
Eric Cardenas
Two methods that work are: 1. Quantize the region start in the event list. 2. Use Slice flex mode.
srnm
Thank you so much! Quantizing in the event list is exactly what I wanted to do. Good to know you can do that. Using slice mode caused lots of artifacts. Is this to be expected, or do you think it's a problem with my system, or something I did wrong? Eric Cardenas
You're welcome! Slice mode is a viable option if you have one continuos region with discrete audio snippets.
