LogicIsDoomed
Using Kontakt 5.5.2.880, playing piano or any instrument, when I stop and begin playback at a different measure (whether at measure start or in between measures, when I hit play Kontakt outputs a VERY LOUD chord bangon whatever V.I. track I have selected. Sometimes it feels like I just got UNexpectedly slapped in the head with a baseball bat. How can I stop this ridiculous behavior???
steveLpx1
...I've had "ice9" set to "0dbv" on my 2buse forever...saves a lot of "BANG" moments, those induced by others and myself...duhooooo....hth.../s~

LogicIsDoomed
does anyone have any serious advise and solutions to offer?
stardustmedia
I haven't encountered such a behaviour with Kontakt yet. Seems strange. Does that also happen when there is only one track in the project? And on that track only Kontakt is loaded (no other MIDI FX plugins). Maybe it tries to playback "ALL" notes at once. paulcristo
It might be related to your CC 64 (sustain) chase. I don't know if it's the same thing as you're experiencing, but when chase is on for CC 64 I noticed when starting playback Logic would send that loud bang. When turning off chase for CC 64 it went away. Maybe that would work for you.
steveLpx1
....mmmmmm....I was/am very serious...not kontakt specific, but that was part of finding the solution I did, and indeed the solution works just fine for me...(sigh).../s~

I'll try with only one track in the project and see. b) Yes only on Kontakt track.
