staff line colors in score editor

Can someone tell me how to change the color of my staff lines? Onscreen my first four bars have grey staff lines that show "through" the notes. My second four bars are black, which is the way I want them.

The color of staff lines cannot be changed. What you're describing could be an alias in Main -- Logic shows these with lighter grey staff lines in the Score window. "Fill Gaps" creates lighter staff lines, though there would not be any notes in gap bars. In any case, you might check the corresponding track / bars in Main to see what's different from a standard region, as there is no setting for staff line color. 

 

In extended layout parameters, stave line thickness can be adjusted, and narrower lines appear grayish (sort of), but that's a universal setting.
