Controller lane in piano roll disappears

I have a piano roll window open with an arrange and a mixer window also open. The MIDI controller lane is open in the piano roll. When I chose another region in the arrange window the controller lane in the piano roll disappears and I have to click the button over and over again to re-open the controller lane.

Is there any way to stop this from happening?

And side note, does anyone know when are we going to get the option of multiple lanes in the piano roll. ( and I don't mean switching to the step editor )

Thanks!

I have the same problem with the CC lane disappearing.  I don't know if it's a bug or just random.  I assign the CC lane to a key command so I can quickly bring it up if it disappears.  That's the best workaround I've found.

As far as I know, multiple CC lanes is not implemented in Logic yet.  I definitely recommend requesting that feature here:

It's a bug and I'll be reporting it because I have a developer login profile. It goes along with another bug when the "Other" float window is chosen from the controller selector in the Piano Roll. If that little floating window remains open, then the Autodefine option will scroll through the active controller lanes in the Piano Roll twice but the second time scrolls through shows nothing and the controller lane disappears when it hits Bank MSB. Weird.

This doesn't happen in the Arrange window though.

I've been looking at tons of orchestral templates on Youtube and some are in Cubase which has a lovely multi-lane view with the option to overwrite controller data live, like is possible with track Touch and Latch in the Arrange window.

Wish, wish, wish ...
