Project won't open - "the operation could not be completed"

Hi guys

 

I'm pretty distressed as I've just lost a large project, so I'm hoping for some help in retrieving it.

 

The project file won't open - when I try to open it, I get the error "The operation could not be completed. No other information is available about the problem." 

 

I have been working on the project for the last fortnight, and have not had any crashes or other problems. Nothing has changed in my setup, either. I am running the most recent updates to Logic Pro X, and Mac OS. 

 

Does anyone have a suggestion for a manual workaround to get the project back? Unfortunately I've been away for a week or so working on the project, and have not backed it up.

 

I'm in that place we've all been at one time or another, looking at the prospect of having lost a lot of time and feeling like I won't be able to rebuild the project exactly as it was before... 

 

Any help you can offer would be appreciated!
