Jordo
So I'm not sure if this a glitch or something I'm unclear about, but I have a MIDI Hi-hat part in a song. If I play just that brief section (2nd clip), it plays fine. But when there is a longer lead up (about 3 seconds or longer, as heard in clip 1), the 3rd hit of this section has a glitch (1st clip.) I have cut and pasted the parts so there is absolutely nothing different about the 3rd hit from the other hits. Anyone know a solution to this? Its driving me kind of crazy. Its supposed to be open hi-hat to quickly closed hi-hat hitting 4 times. Jordo
Update: When I take away the closed hi-hat on the 3rd hit, the 3rd open hi-hat is now just totally silent in playback. This is bizarre.
David Nahmani
What instrument/patch? Can you attach your Logic file here?
Jordo
It's just the Brooklyn+ patch. Hi-Hat. What would be the best way to attach the logic file?
Jordo
Update again: It seems that removing the tom hits kind of fixed the problem, though the hi-hat is still playing a bit weird/inconsistent. Strange. Anyone any insight into this stuff? Its gotta be just a glitch, right?
David Nahmani
It could be an issue with your Articulation IDs... how were those notes created: by you with a pencil tool, recorded live, converted from Drummer regions...? Also note that Drum Kit Designer (instrument used by the patch Brooklyn+) has round robin going on, meaning that it will play different samples as you playback the same region repeatedly. What would be the best way to attach the logic file? Click the "+Post Reply" green button when reading a thread, and click "Attachments" at the bottom of the text box. First, in the Finder, control-click your Logic file and choose "Compress", then attach the .zip file here.
Jordo
I played it with my fingers then cut/pasted/adjusted everything as I usually do.
David Nahmani
Ok if you get a chance to attach it I'll try to have a look.
Jordo
Tried uploading the Logic zip but it said it was too large. I muted the toms and put them on a separate track and it took care of the problem, its still rather annoying though as I was hoping to have all the drums in that one setup for a consistent sort of feel. Oh well.
