mrgroovy
I have read every old thread and solution but not working for me. Under Preferences - Midi Contollers - My old M- Audio Axiom Controller is still showing. I have looked for the file com.apple.logic.pro.cs in Library/Preferences but cannot see it to delete it. I currently have an MAUDIO CTRL 49 and an Maschine Micro which I would both like to use as controllers but am experiencing some difficulties. I choose the correct model in the Control Surface Setup - I can get the CTRL 49 to work (transports and keys) but not drum pads. I can get the Maschine to work only as a transport and cannot get the pads to work as drum controllers. Neither of them show up in the Preferences Pane under Midi controllers - Only the old Axiom Pro 49 (which is unchecked). Thinking if I could remove it, the other controllers show up there and work correctly. Edit: I have also trashed Logic Pro X and reinstalled - The old Axiom Pro is showing up in Midi Controllers. My Maschine Micro and Maudio CTRL 49 are NOT there. Odd.

triplets
In the Finder hold down option when you click on the Go menu to unhide the User Library. There you will find the logic cs preference file. You were looking at the System Library. Big difference.
