aliasherder
Hi, Is it any way to offline analyze an audio track with the loudness meter(or multimeter), or must the audio be played from start to finish in real-time for a proper analysis? Thanks,
stardustmedia
I don't know of, but maybe there is... Otherwise we should drop a feature request. With different options EDIT: I meant, that I don't know of a Logic native solution for that... iZotope has such a tool: https://www.izotope.com/en/products/master-and-deliver/rx-loudness-control.html
maceasy
i think Nugen have a plugin which does this - have a look at their website, at the LM Correct plugin. Edit: this might be Pro Tools only, but they have a lot of other tools for AU.
stardustmedia
If you search for it, you get a lot of results. Though most of them are not offline capable, unlike iZotope's Loudness Control and Nugen's LM-Correct 2. Both cost a lot of money though, 350 resp.

Eriksimon
Hmmm, I use (the free version of) AudioLeak for that... you can drop any audio file (WAV, AIFF, MP3, AAC etc) on it and it'll make this neat graph (no sound) in a few seconds: http://www.channld.com/audioleak/
stardustmedia
Audioleaks PRO does only ITU BS.1770 LKFS I understand that the free version does not include it. Depending if you need also other specs, iZotope does: BS.1770-1 (Global) BS.1770-2-3 (Global) EBU R128 (Europe) EBU R128 s1 (Europe) AGCOM 219/09/CSP (Italy) ATSC A/85 (U.S.) OP-59 (Australia) ARIB TR-B32 (Japan)
aliasherder
Does every audio 'project' has to be mixed/mastered for a specific media (for example Youtube, Spotify, radio in USA, radio in Europe), or can I create one mix/master (same loudness) and deliver to different media? maceasy
Yes, you can do that. The point of those plugins which replicate the algorithms of the different services is that they will alter your material, and you might want to master it for the best sound on one of those media.
