Artcutech
So i've been using Ableton and in some instances i feel the sound is not as transparent/warm as Logic so i decided to switch. Trillian AU is only allowing me to choose dual mono or stereo, i would like a just mono option, i read in one of the older posts i found through google where somebody figured it out but didn't explain how they did it. I know that eventually i can bounce the audio to a mono audio track by soloing the track and selecting 1 circle on the channel strip(master?) next to the track channel strip, and hitting the bnc button on the lower right, is this the right way of bouncing audio? every time i bounce in place i can only bounce to stereo, but as far as loading the au mono is this possible? Garfy
As far as I know, Logic opens instrument plugins in whatever form is reported to it from the plugin coding (mono, Stereo, multi-output). However, I’ve never seen one give the option of Dual Mono (I may be wrong here). Are you using it as a software instrument or can it be used as an Audio FX plugin as well? David Nahmani
Insert your stereo instrument in the instrument slot. Hold down Option as you insert a mono plug-in as the last plug-in in the Audio FX section. If you don't know what to use, insert Utility > Gain > Mono. Bounce in Place and make sure "Bypass Effects" and "Include Volume/Pan Automation" are NOT selected. That will bounce a mono audio file.
Artcutech
its a software instrument Garfy hey thanks for you response David. under the utility gain only thing i'm getting is dual mono, heres the snap shot, so what i'm- doing is just bouncing out with the bnce button to my project folder then importing back in and getting a mono file Hey David i'm having some trouble looping bounced audio and preserving the tail in a loop, even when glueing the clip together, as in to continue the loop the tail gets cut off when looping until the very end when i want it to flare off i just can't seem to get a clean transition without a pop, could you give me any suggestions as of right now i just have the clips looping on separate audio tracks with the tail extended on each
