exporting from pro tools... help!

Recommended Posts

for years, i've recorded vocals in pro tools (at another studio); the engineer gives me a drive with wav files, each track from measure 1. i import them into logic, and work.

now, i need to know HOW to do that; am going into a PT studio, where i need to export all the audio tracks from an album to individual wav files, from measure one, with no eq or effects

can anyone tell me the procedure? or point me to a resource? amazing that i don't know how to do this (but i don't).

Make sure to paint the length of the export with the selector tool, just like you would with the marquee.

Or you can consolidate each track with the same selector tool into a new file.

Then just grab them from the Audio Folder in the Finder. That's usually how I do it if they're not 20 files or more.

Just export your stems from bar 1 in Logic, and bypass all the FX beforehand.

i'm exporting from pro tools (which i don't know at all), and need to know the procedure there...

Ahhh, sorry, I misunderstood your question. Triplets nailed it! Or at least that's how I do it.

20, 30 ... it all depends what is too much for you to do manually. Just a number I threw out.

ah, ok. thanks. (wanted to be sure that, at 21 tracks, the whole world doesn't come apart... or something...).
