mrnabo
Hi, Since upgrading to Logic Pro X 10.3.1 I've noticed I've started getting glitches in my rendered files. Doesn't seem to happen when bouncing within Logic, but it's becoming a problem when I render out my final projects. I've tried using only built-in plugins, but even disabling all plugins still shows the same problem. Thought it might be having other programs open as Thunderbird (my email client) is known to spike your CPU, but it's not that which suggests it might be something to do with the update. Any ideas of what I can look for or try? This is on my Macbook Pro set up btw if that helps. Thanks, MN
mrnabo
I guess no one else is having / has had this problem? Kind of frustrating as it means I have to check through all my renders to make sure there's no hiccups.
nev17
I don't have a cure for you, but I thought I'd let you know that you're not alone. I get glitches in around 1 in 10-15 stereo bounces. A pattern hasn't emerged, as yet.
Jope
Do you bounce online/realtime or offline?
nev17
For me, the glitches occur with both real time and offline bounces.
mrnabo
I wondered if it was having other programs open at the same time but even closing all programs while rendering creates the same glitch. I guess there's some process going on in the background that's causing the glitch and it's a matter of finding that... or Logic X needs an update. Are nev12 and me the only ones experiencing this? triplets
Try having only Logic open. Nothing in the background. Then bounce. What type of file are you bouncing? Personally, never had any bouncing glitches in any version of Logic.
Myvarimu
Could you be more specific in to what you descsibe as glitches? Logic has always had bugs on bouncing, especially when rendering reverbs etc... However, you should always listen to your bounces after printing them, it's just good practice.... mrnabo
Thanks for getting back to me - I'm bouncing to a 24bit 48khz wav file (same as the project settings so no change to the sample rate when rendering). Unfortunately, I seem to get the same result, albeit sporadic i.e. it doesn't always render a glitch like nev12 is experiencing. I have little space left on my HD (45gb of 500gb), so I'm going to try clearing out a load of stuff and repairing permissions as I expect that might be having an effect too... mrnabo
Could you be more specific in to what you descsibe as glitches? Basically, it's as if it stutters on playback - as well as music, I also record voice overs which is why I notice the glitches more as it feels like the voice over is 'cut up' a little bit in places. I wasn't experiencing this with the version of Logic before it had a 'face lift' (I think it was version 10.2.x?)
