Hogg139
When I am recording with the mic the track the mic is on is recording what is on the other track as well as the vocal. How do I fix that?

Hogg139
But that isn’t the issue. I turned my headphone level down to see if that was the issue and it was still getting clear exact audio from the previous track with the vocals like I merged both tracks together .. I run protools so Logic is really new to me and thae situation is really odd to me
David Nahmani
It's really odd to me too – definitely not the expected behavior. What audio interface are you using? Maybe the audio interface software has some sort of "foldback" feature? Logic cannot do that on its own.
Eric Cardenas
Yes… Do you use a mixer as your interface? Click this link to your signature and add your system information: • Logic version and sub-version (e.g. Logic Pro X 10.3.2) • OS X version and sub-version (e.g. OS X Sierra 10.12.6) • Computer (e.g. MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, iMac) • Processor (e.g. 2.2 GHz Intel i7) • Memory (e.g. 8GB) • Audio interface manufacturer and model (e.g. RME Babyface Pro) (most of that information can be found by choosing Logic Pro X > About Logic Pro X, and > About This Mac)

Eric Cardenas
That’s your problem right there. There is still a way you can achive recordings without unwanted tracks being recorded but you will have to be more precise on the exact model you are using and please attach your system info to your signature so that we are able to see it easily on each post.
