michaelft77
I use izotope RX5 to do away with explosive Ps etc........ under the edit menu there is a way to open RX5 with a simple command...... However it's very inconsistent. Sometimes RX5 simply doesn't open with the command and sometimes it does..... any ideas??
michaelft77
BTW within the same project I can get some audio files to open in RX5...... and as you can see in the screen shot the option to open in RX5 is greyed out.
michaelft77
I have followed these instructions to the tee........ half of the time it works. RX is a powerful audio editor that Apple Logic Pro X users can use to get better sounding audio. To use RX with Logic, you must first set it up as an external audio editor. SETTING UP AS AN EXTERNAL AUDIO EDITOR Open Preferences>Advanced Under Additional options, enable Audio Open Preferences>Audio Under Audio File Editor, click on the External Sample Editor to select RX 5 from your applications folder WORKFLOW Select the clip you wish to edit in your timeline Click Edit>Open in iZotope RX 5 Audio Editor, [shift+W] File will open in RX 5. Once you’ve completed your edits, click File>Overwrite Original File Close tab, navigate back to Logic Pro X and wait for waveform to update
