Sebmo
Hello, I have the opportunity to get a powerful (12 core) Mac Pro, but cautious how difficult it could be to copy all my Logic X, NI Libraries, etc... over. I have a very similar Mac Pro from 2008 (8 core). Would it be possible to take the System Harddrive and just put it into the new machine? (and afterwards doing the System Updates... . Or is it just impossible, because of all those different hardware configurations... . Just curious if someone ever tried something like this. Best, Sebmo
Eric Cardenas
Would it be possible to take the System Harddrive and just put it into the new machine? Yes. This is a huge time saver. You should in fact not encounter any issues doing so except for possible re-authorization of certain 3rd party instruments/plug-ins.
