dchaiku
I replaced a kick with one in Ultrabeat. The original kick was mono, but Ultrabeat sounds are stereo (only choices when loading Ultrabeat are Stereo or Multi-Output). Does that now mean I cannot properly process the new (stereo) kick track with mono outboard (mono comp and/or eq for example)?
Solution Eric Cardenas Posted October 24, 2017 Solution Share Posted October 24, 2017 No. You can sum the stereo file to mono by inserting the processing plug-in (or I/O plug-in) as mono by holding down Option while navigating the drop down menu. dchaiku
That was easy - thanks Eric!

dchaiku
Got another one for you, Eric. Now that I've got the Ultrabeat kick as a mono track, I want to send the output to another channel so I can route it to an EQ, but mono is not showing as an output option. Thoughts? David Nahmani
There's no need to send the output anywhere? Right after the first mono plug-in, you can insert any other mono plug-ins such as a mono EQ.
