Core MIDI Disabled because of NanoKontrol 2

I have started to get the Core MIDI Disabled messgae every time I boot Logic unless I disconnect my Korg NanoKontrol 2 (it has no power switch) until after boot is finished. Then I reconnect and all is good.

The one thing I did that may have caused this is I edited the default assignment for the Track previous/next buttons on thre Korg. The factory default is to switch banks and I changed this to switch Tracks instead. I'm guessing this caused the problem.

Is there a way to fix this without reverting back to the default button mappings?
