Glue Restoring Unwanted Sound

Go to solution Solved by David Nahmani,

so i'm trying to cut out breathing on a vocal using the scissors then merging the two (now separate) audio files with the glue so there is just silence in between, sometimes this works however i'm finding most of the time when they are glued it restores the sound i was trying to get rid of.

is there a way round this or a better tool for the job?

Joining audio regions will heal the original audio file whenever possible. The trick is to make it impossible for Logic to do that. You could option-drag a bit of audio before the first region (or after the last), select it along with the others, join and then resize to remove the extra bit.

Or in 10.4 you can marquee select the regions and then join.
