Can I delete undo data?

Recommended Posts

I'm finding that the size of my Logic projects is building to ridiculous sizes. Logic didn't used to do this, I'm sure. It's all this undo data that builds up in a package or project file. Is there any way to delete it?

I've heard people mention a preference that can be set that instructs Logic to delete the undo history when quitting but I can't see it anywhere..

Does it still exist?

Go to Logic Pro X > Preferences > Audio...

Select the Audio File Editor tab and tick the option to Clear Undo History When Closing Project.

I don't use this option myself so I'm not sure if covers all undo history or just the Audio Editor's.

Excellent, thank you!
