Logic X MBP 2018 i9 not using all cores

Hey everyone!

We are currently in the process of setting up a new Macbook Pro 2018 i9 for use as a live mixer and some studio work as well. We've had some bad luck with Pro Tools and compatiibility with OSX 10.13.6 but are also having performance issues system wide with the i9 living up to its name (this is post installing the hot fix for thermal throttling). We decided to give Logic Pro X a shot and are using 10.4.1 on OSX 10.13.6. Currently, no matter what settings are enabled, Logic X will only use 6 of our 12 threads for input monitoring (see picture below). We were seeing an issue in PT that wasn't using all our cores but believe it is linked to the OS compatibility issue and only happens at 64 samples, whereas this happens at all sample rates and makes low sample rates (128 and below) unusable. In our session we only have 16 audio channels with very modest low latency plugins, and despite this under any load it is still only using half our cores.

Anyone have any idea what might be causing this or a possible fix?

Thanks!
