Ploki
i dont think it's gonna happen this namm. 10.2 was released in the summer anyway
itssofly
Maybe in summer, but it can happen anywhere it's also possible over a month you never know with Apple. But it they released many years on NAMM and this time not. Although it is still busy so it is still possible, is that not strange? I also think if they want to release Logic Pro 11 NAMM is a good time for that. Probably Logic 10.5 delayed of something.
David Nahmani
But it they released many years on NAMM and this time not. Although it is still busy so it is still possible, is that not strange? No, there is nothing strange at all about it. For all we know there was a release planned but it was deemed too buggy, not ready, missing a key feature, and they decided to postpone it. I've experienced this before. It's not like they have complete control over the release date.
des99
They release when it's ready - if something is ready and that release can be combined with another useful event for marketing reasons, great. But they won't hustle to reach an arbitrary date to make a splash at a show - Apple stopped doing that when they retired from Macworld. They have enough marketing power to not need other shows to boost their own announcements. Maybe whatever they are working on next just isn't ready yet... it's not like they haven't released major new versions at other times in the year... Swampgrassmusic
I am working through the Logic 10.4 book Lesson 8 cutting regions to remove silence or noise and the update seems to have removed threshold percentage in place of db adjustment. Is there a way to calculate db to percentage in order to set the threshold to 6%? Thank you
robinloops
What is the dB range to choose from (lowest and highest)? Just divide the range by 100 and multiply by six. If the hugest setting were say, 10db and the lowest was 0db, then it’d be .6 dB. 10/100=0.1 and multiplied by 6 is .6.

That is the answer to the post just before. I should have quoted it for clarity. It’s how to convert a dB range to a percentage.
