MikeRobinson
First, I gathered a few dozen of my (iPhone ...) clips together and decided that I wanted to tell the story of my not-so recent visit to Supelo Island, Georgia (USA). Then, I got a little crazy – maybe – and decided that I wanted to produce for myself all of the music cues that would be called for. Rather quickly, I have realized that it is not, in fact, "trivial at all" to produce a suitable musical accompaniment to something that has nothing-at-all to do with music. Therefore, I'd love to receive a few "recommended links" to resources that – uhh... – "have not too much to do with John Williams . . ." Any suggestions? MikeRobinson
I'm simply trying to write original music to accompany a few videos – but doing it as a learning exercise. I don't have clients, etc. and I'm not trying to break in to that business, but I'd like to learn more about the "tricks of the trade" that a good audience would never notice. MikeRobinson
Excellent links. Thank you. I must say, the more I look at this aspect of music, the more impressed I am with every movie that I watch ... with the non-stop music that actually accompanies every scene and contributes an absolutely vital part to it. (If you don't believe me, watch any YouTube movie-clip with the sound turned off.) I guess that it never really occurred to me that they actually pinpoint-time the music to the action of each and every scene ... until I tried to do the same.
