paddymcshins
Hi all, I'm working on a coursework project to redo all the sound (Foley, ADR etc) for a scene from the film Big Hero 6 (the chase in the warehouse scene for anyone that knows of the film, 1:46 in this video if you haven't) and the film goes into slow motion as the 2 main characters are falling from a window, whilst in slow motion, one of the characters is screaming and I have a nice scream recorded for it, I just want to slow it down to match the footage in the film. I've tried elastic audio but I can't get it to slow down nice and smoothly, it just jumps from one speed to the next and I can't see how I can change that without manually making loads of tiny speed changes as it slows down and I really don't want to do that!! I was wondering if anyone knows a good way of doing it within logic or if there are any plug ins (preferably free, I'm a poor student!!), that can make this effect for me. Thanks for you time guys!! Ploki
You can do it with Flex Time if you remove all flex markers, enable flex, and alt+drag region corner. Set algorithm to "polyphonic"
JakobP
Another way could be to load the sample in EXS24 and use the pitchbend to slow the audio down.

Where exactly do you set the algorithm to polyphonic in Flex Time, Ploki? Cheers.
Ploki
Either in the "Track editor" or in the arrange area track header with flex view enabled
