How To Create Animated GIFs?

Recommended Posts

OK, I figured this would be the best place to ask a dumb question...

I'm having a Logic issue that I'd like to ask about in one of the main forums. How do I create an animated GIF of the process in question?

I'm assuming animated GIF would be the best way to show the issue rather than attaching an .mp4.

Thanks in advance.

Use the QuickTime Player Version 10.4 already on your Mac.

You can even specific a part of the screen to record rather than the whole screen.

ValliSoftware, thank you for your reply, I’m just seeing it for the first time now.

Quicktime Player never occurred to me!

Have a good one.

as far as I can see you can't upload .mov files here. You can bring it to giphy but how do you get it from there to here? I converted a .mov at giphy but there's no way to place it inline here that I can see and you can't download it from there that I'm aware of.

thanks

You have to post in Full Editor & Preview mode.

From there, below the typing area, below the 3 buttons ([save draft], [Preview], [submit]),

there are 2 tabs (Options and Attachments).

Attachments is where to go...

You can then either drag/drop the file in that area or click on Add files (then browse/select the file to post).

Other options will be available once your file(s) is(are) uploaded.

Be aware there is a permitted file size limit.
