raywaves
I'm just setting up Logic Pro 7 on a MAC Power Book. Using an Edirol UA700 I/O I crank the gain on the I/O and record to an audio track. The guitar gets there but at a low level that is useless. Is there a Logic trim I'm missing or does anybody know the UA 700 well enough to know what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
pantomimeHorse
Think there's a +4 / -10 flip on those Roland thingies, Raywaves ! You might be feeding out a *consumer* level signal. Just a thought.
raywaves
Duh, I didn't even look. I'll try that, thanks! Raywaves You might be feeding out a *consumer* level signal. Just a thought.
David Nahmani
Stupid question, but are you sure you plug your guitar in the guitar input? The impedance is not the same as a line or mic input. Also, your Edirol has an integrated Guitar Preamp, make sure you know how to set up its levels! You should be able to get the exact level you want into Logic without having to touch any setting in Logic.
raywaves
There are no stupid questions.....well sorta, but I believe I did use guitar input and CRANKED the gain and overdrive et al. But, it's been several days and I'll double check. Thanks for the input.
