Logic Delay Issue - Not Plugin!

Hey all - Safe and well?

 

I've posted this before but never got to the bottom of it so hoping somebody can help. I have a rock solid MBP and have Logic happily running bar one little issue.

 

Over all audio from Logic using the (Built in Output or any Interface (Tried 4 to eliminate issue)) including the metronome there is a small but very noticeable delay following the audio.

 

To be clear I can hear this on any output from Logic (Instrument or Audio and easier to identify through use of short percussive sounds). To clarify its the original audio plus the very small delay. Very noticeable on headphones (Checked these on other macs/ipads and fine)

 

Have stripped all audio paths to just check with the metronome.

 

One solution was installing OSX and Logic on a fresh external drive and whilst I'm sure this would be a recommended route my current setup has so many applications and now misplaced serial numbers that I do not want to lose my customised mac.

 

I'm confident that this is something that can be solved with a file refresh somewhere and hope somebody can help. I've upgraded OS through Sierra through to latest Mojave with this issue and can't move to Catalina due to losing 32 Lives Wrapper which we all really enjoy.

Are you on 10.5.0 or 10.5.1?

 

Do you hear the same echo using other apps? For example do you hear it if you bounce a click sound from Logic and use Quick Look in the Finder?

 

Do you hear the same echo when starting from File > New and using an empty template? Not a single plug-in at all in the Mixer?

I don't hear it other apps or when bouncing file out and playing on Quicktime or Quicklook. Have tried it with bare bones channel and even present in the metronome:-(
