Trevora
Hello, I can get Logic to scrub the audio, I'm trying edit dialogue. It is activated pref/audio/edit. I'm used to Audition/Cool Pro/Sadie where it just happened. Can anyone give my any pointers please?
Solution fuzzfilth Posted June 16, 2020 Solution Share Posted June 16, 2020 Enable Preferences>Audio>Editing>Scrubbing>Scrubbing with Audio in Tracks Area Then click-drag with either the Solo tool or the Scissors tool. Although I have to say that in 25+ years of almost daily editing dialogue on a computer I haven't once used or needed scrubbing for that. Trevora
Thanks, but that's what I'm doing, solo and scissor tool, with the track solo'd and not solo'd. There must be something I'm not pressing, or it just doesn't work on an iMac
David Nahmani
It works as expected here on my iMac. Did you enable that preference? Another test: try in a new empty project, for example with an Apple Loop.
Trevora
Preferences as Fuzzfilth suggested, Preferences>Audio>Editing>Scrubbing>Scrubbing with Audio in Tracks Area Then click-drag with either the Solo tool or the Scissors tool. I dragged an Apple loop into a new project, it plays fine but doesn't scrub.

David Nahmani
It's finicky but it works here. Try dragging from right to left, I mean starting from the right end of a region and dragging toward its beginning? Also try doing it in the Audio Track editor? Trevora
AH yes! Thank you. Scrolling over the the waveform, not grabbing the cursor head.
