clbraddock
Every time I receive a midi file that was exported from pro tools I cannot get it to function imported into logic. The timing is off by as much as 64 ticks and for some reason midi from protools causes massive spikes in CPU that I don't have with any other midi. Is this a known problem? clbraddock
So it definitely is something to do with extra data pro tools exports. I downloaded reaper to test this in a different DAW and reaper will play it back more or less correctly. Reaper imports extra data pro tools must be exporting though, because it adds verse markers upon importing the midi. If I export from reaper and turn off time code and smpte I can import it into logic. The timing is still weird, but if I move it up about 40 ms it is in time. David Nahmani
Is it possible that this could be a quantize issue? Have you tried reimporting the MIDI file in Pro Tools? Is there any quantize setting in Pro Tools?
