Ok so I got the new update and every time I try to record remix fx it just doesn't record. And I don't know why. Does anyone know how to record remix fx into regular tracks and not live loops?

Record as automation? Set the track to touch or latch, press play and tweak Remix FX.

I'm also having this issue. I have tried what you detailed but it still will not record. I have multiple instances of this plugin on different tracks...does that make a difference? When I use Logic Remote on my iPad I can never get it to record the automation either.

 

Anyone else having problems recording automation with Remix Fx?

I use Touch mode and a mouse. Clicking on an effect switches it on, releasing the mouse button switches it off. Truïsm: it has to be switched (clicked) on for it to work. Most effects are already "live", Remix FX (partly) isn't.

No, it works as expected here. Try this:

 

1. Start a new empty project, create one audio track.

2. Insert one Remix FX plug-in in the Insert section of the track's channel strip.

3. Set the Automation mode pop-up menu of the channel strip to "Latch".

4. Press Play.

5. Click-hold and drag the mouse to create a movement on the left "Resonance/Cutoff" pad.

6. Stop, go back to the beginning and press Play again.

 

Do you see the movement you just created with the mouse playback?

My first issue regarding Logic remote running on iphone xr - connecting it to a macbook pro 2012 running catalina on Logic 10.5. ..

Logic remote's Remix FX 's XY pad not working , i have installed many times , even did a reset of control surfaces within Logic , the glow animation on phone stays stuck to left hand side , could someone pls check is it the app or am i doing something in some setting wrong . Pls help

I've had this problem ever since Remix FX was introduced as I always use automation on this plugin

The automation works fine and is recorded, but after a few plays it just stops working

The automation is visible, and even if you open the plugin you can see the movement being activated but it doesn't actually do anything, 

This only happens with this plugin, 

Latest Logic version, but still on Monterey 12.01 

As I said this has always been the case with this plugin, over a year or so

1. I made a test project with the Remix plugin and automation on each track, 

Gradually some of the  automation stops working, in  my case after about 5 minutes the Remix FX on the snare stopped working,  the Remix FX on the Hi Hat changed ,  

But on the whole seemed to hold up better than in one of my real song projects where there are a lot of tracks and a lot of plugins so maybe that makes it worse

Sorry for the delay in answering, I have been swamped. So it's a little complex to troubleshoot because you have multiple tracks with Remix FX and each has multiple parameters automated. If you want to continue to troubleshoot that project, save a test copy and start removing tracks, data in general (notes, automation) little by little, seeing if you can keep reproducing the issue consistently even in a very simple example (one single track, one single parameter being automated). 

If you can, post that here and I'll have a look.

FWIW I ran the project for more than the mentioned 5 minutes (nice beat BTW ) and didn't hear any issues with the various Remix FXes

Thanks guys, I made the project just to try to get the problem to occur

It's quite frustrating as it works fine when I load the project but if I spend time on it the Remix FX start cutting out

Definitely an unreliable plugin for me when it  comes to automation 

And like I said it's rather on a big project with many tracks and plugins where it happens all the time but I didn't want to share my music projects
